Photography didn't start as a career path for me—it began as an instinct. For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to having a camera in my hands. That fascination took root early, leading me to spend a decade (2012-2022) creating content for YouTube, where I learned the fundamentals of visual storytelling, composition, and the technical craft of capturing compelling imagery.
Those years weren't just about uploading videos—they became my film school. Between 2015 and 2020, I worked as a video editor for independent shorts and small-scale films, refining my eye for narrative structure, pacing, and the emotional weight a single frame can carry. I was learning the language of light and shadow without even realizing it would become my primary dialect.
When the pandemic arrived in 2020, like many creatives, I found myself at a crossroads. Rather than wait, I invested in my craft—upgrading camera gear, building a lighting kit, and seeking out videography projects that kept my skills sharp during uncertain times. These "pandemic projects" became more than just work; they were proof that I could adapt, create under pressure, and turn limitations into opportunities.
The pivot to photography happened organically in fall 2021. A colleague at my day job mentioned he did photography on the side, and I asked if I could shadow him on a shoot. That single session changed everything. Watching him work with his models, directing the poses, and capture authentic moments in controlled environments—I knew immediately this was where I belonged. From that first shoot forward, I haven't stopped.
With over four years now dedicated to photography, I've built a practice rooted in technical precision and genuine human connection. My experience spans intimate portrait sessions, meticulously crafted studio work, and dynamic event coverage. I've developed expertise in lighting configurations that range from classic Rembrandt setups to contemporary mixed-lighting techniques, and I've cultivated relationships within the creative community that continue to push my work forward.
